Under the tutelage of his father, the famed art photographer Shri Santosh and his contemporaries, S Paul and T Kashinath, Kumar has received the National Academy Award for his works. He is currently freelancing with many media companies and is also working with a lot of philanthropic, social projects such as the World Wildlife Fund, Tamanna and Action for Autism.
