Lisa Edwards

Lisa Edwards is a Jewish lesbian activist, whose chief work revolves around campaigning against the harmful ramifications of religious indoctrination towards people from the LGBT community. Since 1994, she is the rabbi of the Los Angeles congregation, Beth Chayim Chadashim (BCC), “House of New Life,” the first synagogue in the world founded by gays and lesbians in the year 1972. Edwards is a frequent contributor to the Los Angeles Jewish Journal and has been published in various queer and Jewish topics.
